Materials and Supplies
All language arts students must have a 3-ring binder with loose-leaf paper and 5 tab dividers. Label the dividers with this: Writing, Grammar, Speaking & Listening, Literature, and Vocabulary. The binder should ideally have a clear plastic cover; these will be used as white boards. If you have already purchased a binder without a clear cover, that's okay. This binder is to be used only for language arts.
Replenish loose-leaf paper as necessary.
All students will need 2 sharpened #2 pencils with erasers every day. These may be mechanical or standard. Replenish pencils as necessary. Students must also bring extra lead for mechanical pencils or a small personal pencil sharpener with a cover to catch shavings for standard pencils.
All students should have a pen, a highlighter, a dry-erase marker, and sticky notes each day.
Every day all students must bring a novel or non-fiction book other than a textbook.
All students need a flashdrive to save and transfer their computer work.
Additional supplies: Please bring 2 boxes of tissue and two packages of wet wipes (We go through lots of these!) Please bring any of the following: a package of dry-erase markers, a package of sticky notes, or a package of 2 or more paper towels.
Wish list: Small, non-edible treats for incentives, such as key chains or cool school supplies 30x36 easel pad with sticky backing (These are like giant memo pads with post-it note sticky backing.)
